Mr. Vacker is President and Chief Executive Officer of Meringoff Properties, a fully-integrated real estate management company with nearly 40 years of experience in the creative repositioning, redevelopment and operation of undervalued commercial property. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Vacker is responsible for management, leasing, operations, financial reporting, construction and administration for the company’s entire 15-building, 2.5 million-square-foot commercial real estate portfolio. Notably their redevelopment of 8 Times Square in 2016 was recognized by REBNY as The Most Significant Retail Deal of the Year. In 2019 Jason was recognized by AFRMC at the Real Estate and Finance Deal of the Year Awards with the Most Innovative Technology Award for the lease completed with Jerusalem Venture Partners at 462 Broadway.
Prior to holding the position of President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Vacker held the positions of Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President, and Director of Leasing. He earned his BBA in Finance, Investment and Banking from the Grainger School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004.
Mr. Vacker is a board member and the Assistant Treasurer (Treasurer-elect) of the Flatiron 23rd Street Partnership, a member of REBNY, a board member of the Times Square Alliance, a board member of the SoHo Broadway Initiative, a former two-time board member of YM/WREA (2015 & 2016), a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and is actively involved as a mentor with the non-profit PENCIL. Additionally, he is a supporter of and contributor to The Actors Fund and the Madison Square Park Conservancy.
